Destruction of the Natural World and it's consequences

Our natural world is being destroyed at an astonishing rate, that by 2030  the destruction we make will be irreversible. First of all, what is the natural world, the natural world is everything that we see around us, it is not the gadgets, not the concrete jungles, roads, etc.., of the city, it is everything else that is here in this world for hundreds of years including us. Organisms that proliferated here for thousands and millions of years are vanishing at a rate the earth has never seen before. It is said that the extinction rate is 100 to 1000 times the normal rate, which means within a few decades earth will be lifeless if we don't act now.

Global climate change has dropped both people and other life forms to the brink of chaos. Increasing floods, hurricanes, droughts, and other natural disasters have increased in number and severity over the past few years. Unsustainable human activities such as agriculture especially livestock farming, where the methane gas released by the cattle is 30 times more potent greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. Other unsustainable human activities like logging, hunting, and fishing also have a great ecological footprint.

Another environmentally disastrous destruction we all are aware of is ocean plastic and its consequences, from the sea turtles and sea birds getting entangled by plastic waste to bioaccumulation of microplastic up the food chain.

Loss of biodiversity can have a devastating effect for the world, as well as human well being, pandemics like COVID-19, can be directly linked to loss of biodiversity, naturally, new viruses and bacterias like this would dilute naturally within the population or closely related species, but now because there isn't closely related species with enough population size and close vicinity, instead of spreading to some other close species it jumped over to totally different species that is us.

Finally, what do all these mean to us, it means a lot, we are in the front lines of this major and global issues, it is in our hand that what will be the faith of our planet for the further years to come, the actions that we take today will determine the future of our planet. Simple changes when choosing products to buy, like choosing cosmetics that don't have any microplastic, considering labels that say environmentally friendly and sustainable, using less plastic if not no plastic, reducing food waste, non-polluting transportation options, these are the few steps that we can take today for the betterment of our future and future of our planet.
